Dear TSMBC Family,
I pray that each of you will have a prosperous and healthy New Year. We faced many challenges in 2020 and undoubtedly we will face more in 2021; but remember just as The Lord saw us through in 2020, He will see us through in 2021.
We all have so much to be thankful for, as we have witnessed so much pain, frustration, corruption, hatred, and deaths in 2020; we also witnessed God’s Grace to keep us, in spite of it all.
As we now commence 2021, let us be ever mindful to count our blessings, and be grateful for all God has done. Remembering many that were with us in the genesis of 2020, were not afforded the privilege to see this moment in the New Year. But God, through His grace, mercy and sovereignty allowed us to continue on, in spite of. It was not because of anything we did, and it was not just because of us,…but God!
We must forget about yesterday and look forward to what The Lord has for our lives, as we continue to work while it is day; because the night cometh when no man can work.
We had to say farewell to some of our convention family in 2020 and as 2021 begins we are still saying farewell. Some of us were hospitalized; some home with Covid-19 and some of us are still recuperating only by the Grace of God.
We were schedule to have our virtual Mid-Winter Board meeting on January 6, 2021. I am still confined, recuperating, and under Doctors care at this time. We will postpone this board meeting until a later time.
Our Theme for 2021 will be: “A Return to Biblical Standards Embracing Salvation through Grace.” Titus 2:11
This year we will also have a sub theme: “A Return to Biblical Standards while leaning on The Lord.” Proverbs 3:5
Family let’s move forward seeking The Master’s Will, it’s getting late in the evening and the sun is almost down. We all have heard this assertion for many years, and let’s be honest, most of us do have more days behind us than in front of us.
Let it go! The lies, the trash, the hatred, count it as dung and let’s keep pushing toward the mark of the higher calling of God in Christ Jesus. Happy New year and I look forward to the time when we all can gather again.
Because of Calvary,
President Dr. Bruce D. Datcher
